Browlift, Eyelift and Botox

There is no doubt in my mind that a beautifully arched eyebrow can open up the eyes and make you look younger and, if you are not lucky enough to have them naturally, there are several ways to help.

Some of these options were discussed on the Alan Titchmarsh Show. As usual, the wonderful Nadine Baggott offered her precious beauty advice, whilst I talked about surgical options, and I think between us we covered a lot!

Browlifts

Naturally defined brows paraded by many Hollywood A-listers such as Anne Hathaway and fashion model Cara Delevingne, have given brows a renewed appeal - seeing their beautiful defined brows makes people want to have the same look. Wrinkles are also another incentive for wanting a brow lift.

Lifting your brows

Personally, I rarely perform browlifts as I don’t believe they give a very natural result. Patients can be left looking startled rather than refreshed and this goes against my professional philosophy. The TBT eyelift combined with Botox treatment can lift the eyelids and brows, giving the impression of a more open face.

Men certainly shouldn’t have browlifts. The male face tends to be quite heavy on the brow, and this helps to mark the difference between male and female faces. To remove this is to feminise the male face, which is never a desirable outcome.

TBT eyelift cost: from £3500.00

Endoscopic Forehead Lift

Some cosmetic surgeons will prefer to avoid the long incision made for Coronal Forehead Lifts by doing 3 little incisions, for the same result. Hair loss is however a risk in both procedures.

Cost: from £6400.00

Endotine Browlift

Plastic surgery evolves regularly and there are techniques that plastic surgeons use to avoid the surprised look given by regular browlifts. The Endotine browlift allows us to hook and lift your eyebrows to the height you want.

Cost: from £5500.00

Botox

A great way of avoiding surgery is to use Botox (also known as Botulinum Toxin A), the favourite answer to wrinkles. Botox creates a slight lateral lift of the brows. It disappears after 3 to 6 months so needs repeating…

Cost:  From £250 for 3-6 months

Think carefully if a plastic surgeon advises you to do both a browlift and an eyelift, personally I think one at a time is enough. And if you just want mini browlifts to have defined brows, Nadine’s make-up solutions were very impressive, don’t you think?
