Cosmetic procedures that complement a facelift
12 July 2019
Facelifts are one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures, and for good reason - facelift surgery can produce an incredible transformation. Such is it’s popularity, I wanted to ensure I perfected my facelift technique with the creation of my signature T-B-T Facelift procedure. My belief is that a great facelift is one that goes unnoticed by friends and family, and that’s exactly what my signature facelift can achieve.
Despite the fantastic results that can be achieved with a facelift alone, there are other cosmetic procedures that can complement a facelift exceptionally well and help really take your transformation to the next level - all in a natural and subtle way when performed with care and expertise by an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon.
The desired outcome from cosmetic surgery will vary from patient to patient, and such is the case with any procedure. Most patients seeking a facelift want to rejuvenate their face in some way, so that they appear more youthful with tighter, smoother skin. I will take this into account while highlighting a few cosmetic procedures that complement a facelift below:
Complementary Procedure 1: Necklift
It can be easily argued that a necklift is the procedure that is best paired with a facelift. This is because wrinkles generally form around the face and neck at the same time due to both being subject to the same forces of ageing, environment and genetics.
A facelift is designed to address wrinkles and lines that form on the face, meaning any signs of ageing that has taken place around the neck will remain. The neck tends to be an area that shows more classic signs of ageing than we care for, and a necklift will help address this specific problem. So, it’s clear to see why a necklift combined with a facelift can help best enhance the overall appearance.
Complementary Procedure 2: Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery, technically termed as blepharoplasty, is another cosmetic procedure that is very complementary to a facelift as it eliminates fine lines and wrinkles that form around the eyes. Signs of aging around the eyes is unlikely to be diminished by a facelift alone, so eyelid surgery could be viewed as that finishing touch to target an area of the face that would otherwise remain much the same following facelift surgery.
Other Complementary Procedures
Necklift and eyelid surgery aren’t the only cosmetic surgery procedures that complement a facelift. Below is a list of procedures that I would also recommend considering depending on your personal circumstances, either as potential procedures that could be paired with a facelift and performed at the same time, or shortly after recovery:
